On the side, a bird rises from the canvas, hand sculpted from wire and clay, built up with moulding paste and hand stitched. The words "trust yourself" are stitched directly into the canvas. A reminder that needed to be said out loud, so it was.
Beneath everything you see, the first layers are made of collage and paper cut-outs, dreams, goals and desires pressed into the foundation before a single brushstroke landed.
